Visa requirements

[edit | edit source]

Kenya is a visa-free country for tourists. All you need to do is apply for the electronic travel form (ETA) online through this link. It is necessary to apply at least 3 days before your trip, but ideally, apply 2 weeks in advance to allow for processing and any potential delays. The application can be submitted up to 90 days before your trip. Don't forget to bring the electronic travel form printout with you.

It is recommended to have a valid passport for at least six months from the date you exit Kenya and at least two blank passport pages.

Vaccinations and Health

[edit | edit source]

Yellow fever vaccination is mandatory for travelers from endemic regions. You need to show a Yellow Fever vaccination certificate if you are traveling from an endemic region. The certificate needs to be obtained at least 10 to 15 days before departure.

While you’re at it, also confirm that your routine vaccinations are up to date, including Hepatitis A, Typhoid, Tetanus, and if you’re planning wildlife activities, consider Rabies as well.
